What is Cultivating Ensembles?

The activity of Cultivating Ensembles (CE) brings together individuals with different sensibilities and interests to celebrate the interwoven nature of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, + medicine (STEMM), the humanities, and the arts. The CE community is composed of educators, researchers, performers, artists, students, activists, and advocates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Together, we strive to shape STEMM fields as humanistic, collaborative, inclusive, and highly innovative fields of practice.

 

 

Coffee Chat Workshop Series

The Coffee Chat Workshop series grew out of a need to support the CE community as our in-person conference was put on hold and the world moved online. This series is inclusive of broad community participation, and newcomers are welcomed enthusiastically.

 

Coffee Chat Workshops are:

• 90 minute to 2 hour online interactive workshops

• Intended to engage the participants through facilitated, interactive conversations and activities    

• Intended to grow and strengthen the CE community 

• Led by both newcomers and seasoned members of the CE community

 

We invite you to submit a proposal to lead an online Coffee Chat Workshop for the CE community. As a leader of a workshop, you will have the opportunity to facilitate an interactive session that you think would be of interest to the CE community. For example, previous sessions have included “STEAM as Scientific Revolution” and “Building Community in Virtual Environments.”
